Cartridge Valve

If you have any kind of hydraulic machinery at your home or workplace, you should know the details of hydraulic valves. Hydraulic cartridge valves are directional valves used in fluid technology (pneumatics and hydraulics) to clear the path for the working medium (compressed air, hydraulic fluid), to block or to change the flow direction. These valves are extremely important elements of hydraulic machines and if they get damaged, the machinery will stop working. Thus, it is important to stock up on valves or get contacts of companies selling these valves. You can find some excellent companies that provide hydraulic cartridges at highly reasonable costs.

Different Types of Valves:

The Hydraulic cartridge valves differ according to the following main features:

  1. Type of control, e.g. slide, valve cone
  2. Number of switching positions
  3. Type of operation, e.g. electric (solenoid), pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, manual
  4. Number of flow paths
  5. Number, size, and type of connections, e.g. nominal diameter, thread

Directional control valves are described according to the number of connections per switch position and the number of switch positions. The switch position is indicated from the left beginning with lowercase letters in alphabetical order. For example, A 3/2 (spoken: three-bar-two or often three-two) -way valve has three connections and two switch positions. With directional valves, the direction of the flow, i.e. the extension direction of a cylinder is controlled by start-stop commands through the path length of the stroke.

Types of Circuits in Hydraulic Cartridge Valves

The simplest hydraulic circuit on the base of a hydraulic distributor with manual control can be classified by a number of signs:

  • locking-in design distribution element – the plunger, cranes, and valve;
  • by the number of outer hydroline – for two-, three- and multi-line;
  • by the number of positions of the locking and distributing element – for two-, three- and multi-position;
  • by type of control – for distributors with manual, mechanical, electric, pneumatic and combined control;
  • by the way of opening of passage channels – on guides and throttling;
  • by the type of working environment – for hydraulic and pneumatic.

Purpose and Significance of Hydraulic Cartridge Valves:

A control valve is a continuous valve which is often the actuator in a control loop. As a throttle device, it ensures that the desired flow rate can be set in a pipeline. The pressure, the temperature that can flow through the variable level or the flow itself in a process of engineering system can be regulated. The engineering system includes the control valves because these have a typical appearance, valves that are not part of a control loop, but have the same design, are often referred to as a control valve. The hole dazzle is also among the throttle devices but are not adjustable and therefore cannot be used as an actuator. Throttle valves are adjustable and thus, especially for gases or large pipe diameters, a cost-effective alternative to control valves.

The Valves Used in Hydraulic Systems Vary With Input:

  • Directional Control Valves – This type of valves involve start, stop and flow instructions.
  • Pressure Control Valves – This involves controlling the pressure and sequence of flow of fluids.
  • Check Valves – These are used to evaluate different functionalities and capabilities.
  • Flow Control Valves – These valves enable people to control the speed and direction of flow of fluids.

It can be suggested that hydraulic cartridge valves are extremely important for hydraulic machinery. You can find some highly affordable options online. You should do some research to find the most well reviewed and reputed companies that specialize in providing these kinds of valves.
